Peripheral angiodysplasias are congenital lesions located mainly in the neck, the torso and the extremities. They are caused by irregular neoangiogenesis and may be localised or generalised.

Peripheral angiodysplasias may be treated with transarterial embolisation.   The procedure entails one-day hospitalisation and patients go home the following day. A significant prerequisite condition for the success of the procedure is the experience of the interventional radiology expert and the high specialisation of the medical centre.
